When Life Gives You Lemons...

……make lemonade! The ebbs and flows of life may leave you question where you are at or how you got here? The circumstances that you find yourself in may not mirror the vision that you had for your life. The obstacles and challenges that may seem insurmountable may leave you feeling like you’re drowning. It’s in those excruciating moments of turmoil where you wonder how you’ll ever make it through. The world around you feels like it's falling apart. You may be stuck wondering why this is happening to you. Here’s a reality check:

IT’S NOT!

Life isn’t happening to you. Life is happening for you. These moments of discomfort are shifting to you to where you need to be. It’s forcing you to grow and expand. It’s giving you a chance to move into a better space, mindset, or circumstance. It’s when we resist change that makes it ten times harder. We get so comfortable in our day to day lives, that the prospect of upheaval has us stricken with fear and doubt and uncertainty.

People who “go with the flow” are the people who understand that there’s a much greater force than what we can see leading us amongst our path. They accept the fact that each and every obstacle or challenge as a lesson that they need to learn or to expose a part of themselves that needs to heal. They understand that their life is full of infinite possibilities and these obstacles and challenges are clearing the way for better times ahead. When you understand that everything that you may view as uncomfortable is really just getting out the of the way for greatness to enter, and you shift your perception, you really begin to live your life. The awareness that you are meant to live a life of joy and that these little hiccups along the way are bringing you into the abundant life you are meant to have.

It’s ok to cry. It’s ok to take a day and wade through the motions. Whatever the situation is, write about what it is and then write about what you do want. Harvest the good from it. And then let it go and trust that the path you are travelling down is meant for you. It’s not forcing situations. It’s allowing things to unfold in their divine timing. Life is cyclical and in a constant stream of motion. There will be mountains and there will be valleys. There will always be endings which are followed by miraculous new beginnings. Wherever you find yourself in the circle of life, just remember that you’ve always made it through before.

Life may not always be sunshine and rainbows, but there is always light after darkness. Keep focussing on the light.

“To be a star you must shine your own light, follow your own path and not be afraid of the darkness, for that is when stars shine the brightest. ~author unknown
