I Want to Thrive, Not Just Survive

Many of us are glad to see 2020 in the rear view mirror. With this unprecedented year of transformation, change, and social reform, the welcoming of a new year may not generate relief as quickly as the the flick of a light switch. We creep slowly into 2021 reflecting on the old ways of being and releasing all that doesn’t serve in a hopeful sentiment even though we still may not be exactly where we want to be or can predict what the future has in store.

Hope……hope for more love, freedom, compassion, and joy. We patiently wait to see what all of 2021 has in store for us respectful of the fact that we cannot continue to do the same things over and over again expecting a different result. We have to be willing to release the old ways of being in order to bring in something new…..something better. It’s an opportunity for change not only in our personal lives, but collectively as a whole.

You are the creator of your life and it starts with the thoughts that you think. Thoughts become things. You are constantly in a state of manifestation. Every time you know what you don’t want, you know what you do want. You are continually firing out desires to the Universe. Did you know you were such a powerful creator? Are you happy with your results?

To stand on the brink of what is coming, feeling eager, optimistic anticipation - with no feeling of impatience, doubt, or unworthiness hindering the receiving of it - that is the science of deliberate creation at its best. ~Abraham Hicks

If you can picture your life as a garden, what do you see? Rows and rows of beautiful healthy plants in perfectly tilled dirt. A skilled gardener always begins with a well thought out plan. Your life is no different.

If you don’t take the time to envision the life that you have always wanted and nourish those thoughts with positivity and love like you would water and fertilize the seeds in a garden, your results will be unimpressive. There may be some pretty flowers but they may be thwarted with weeds and rocks.

You have to dream and take time to make a plan and be intentional about the way you choose to live to realize the life of your dreams. Just like seeds in a garden, you have to tend to them and water them and then be patient and wait for the crop to ripen.

Start of your year by being a deliberate creator in your life. Create a vision board (or try a digital board at www.dreamitalive.com) or journal out all the areas of your life from your career to your finances to your relationships. Don’t rush this process. Really think about what you want in each area and what kind of emotions and feelings and energy you want to create in those areas. As you allow yourself to envision what that looks like and how it feels, keep it somewhere where you can see it as a constant reminder of what you are working towards. Match your energy to your desires and it will come to you as if by magic. Don’t try and force results. Force negates so have fun with this and watch your dreams unfold.

Wishing you a wonderful New Year ahead filled with love, abundance and joy.
