We are in a time of uncertainty, a time of unpredictability, and a time of entering the unknown. We are in a time of great change.
The media, while providing information around the virus, has precipitated a global widespread panic. It’s easy to get sucked in. When you allow yourself to be bound by fear, it allows you to act out in destructive behaviours. When panic implodes, it erases every ounce of kindness towards humanity.
While the rest of the world is on the edge of disaster, I believe that we can consciously choose to rise above it. Our outer environment has no bearing on our lives unless we let it. We have to ability to react or respond. We have the ability to direct our thoughts, feelings and emotions.
WE ARE WHAT WE THINK, ALL THAT WE ARE ARISES WITHIN OUR THOUGHTS, WITH OUR THOUGHT WE MAKE THE WORLD ~ Buddha
Don’t you think it’s time to take a step back and allow yourself to moment to breathe. Don’t you think it’s time for patience and trust that there’s a greater force at work? This is a wake up call. It’s a time for us to focus on faith and love and trust. It’s a time to evaluate our behaviours and beliefs and what that really says about who we are and where we are going.
There is a universal law that states what we place our attention on grows and what we resist persists. Consider how your thoughts and feelings and emotions and whether they are contributing to the mass hysteria or whether they are contributing to peace and resolution.
We only have right now. While we may not have control over our circumstances, we can control our reactions and response.
This virus is forcing a separation in order for us to go within and heal our own shadows and face our own attitudes and judgements about ourselves and others. It’s presenting us with areas in our lives that we take for granted - our world, our community, our family, our bodies, our health. Are we going to learn the lesson?
This is a time of an awakening. This is a time where something extraordinary wants to be born. This is a time where a great healing is taking place and reminding us of who we are and that we are always better together.
In the midst of all this seemingly perceived uncertainty that is happening around us, we are being asked to rise up. We are being asked to be the light in the world. Just like stars, when we all band together in community and have courage and faith, we will outshine the darkness.
Focus on faith, not fear.
